A 20-year-old girl said all her clothes were torn by a group of men, while her friend was abused by them.

Michelle, 18 years old, said that she and a group of 10 friends arrived at Cologne station at 11pm to celebrate the New Year when they saw about 100 people, most of them foreigners, gathering outside the area adjacent to the church.

Michelle said as they approached the Rhine River to watch the fireworks, `suddenly 20-30 men surrounded them, and more and more appeared`.

These guys groped them, even trying to put their hands under their clothes.

Michelle’s group of friends resisted, but the thugs didn’t seem to understand German.

They were screaming and crying for 5 minutes.

`We weren’t beaten, we weren’t permanently injured, but this was disgusting and not fun at all,` Michelle said.
