Some territories around the world don’t seem to want any visitors to visit, so they have created especially difficult immigration barriers for visitors.

Nauru

This modest country was once one of the richest countries in the world thanks to the export of phosphate fertilizer.

Nauru is also not an easy place to develop tourism.

There are almost no tourism services such as restaurants, hotels, car rentals… in Nauru.

Hotels, restaurants and car rental services are virtually non-existent.

If the visa application is successful, tourists will have to go to Brisbane, Australia to catch Our Airlane’s once-a-week flight to Nauru, which includes a stopover in the Solomon Islands, east of Papua New Guinea.

Jan Mayen

Jan Mayen, volcanic island in the Arctic Ocean, part of Norway.

Visitors on this island are mainly scientists and soldiers.

Other options for getting to the island are to rent a boat from Iceland or Norway or book through Eco-Expeditions.

Eritrea

As one of the most inaccessible countries in Africa, Eritrea still has `frozen` tourist routes due to current disagreements with neighboring countries Sudan and Ethiopia.

Visitors to this country are subject to very high supervision and visa processing time can be up to 8 weeks.

The Italian colonial period left Eritrea with many valuable architectural works.

Eritrea is a former Italian colony, and there are many incredible architectural gems and decorative arts that are largely unexplored.

South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands

The British territories located in the south of the Atlantic Ocean are a collection of small islands, home to a few scientists and government employees.
