If the deal is done, Microsoft has agreed with the US Government to bring TikTok’s source code from China to the US within a year.

This deal is expected to close in the next three weeks, before the September 15 deadline.

Few American companies can afford to transfer large amounts of Tiktok data to their own systems in a year, let alone pay billions of dollars for the acquisition.

TikTok is the international version of the Douyin application in China.

Microsoft also confirmed in a social media post on August 2 that it had held negotiations with ByteDance – Tiktok’s parent company in China to negotiate the acquisition of this company’s business.

Last weekend, US President Donald Trump said he would ban this application and opposed Microsoft’s idea of buying TikTok.

According to analysts, if the agreement between Tiktok and Microsoft is successful, it will bring advantages to both sides.

TikTok has become very popular with young users who own smartphones.

With more than 100 million users in the US, TikTok could maintain its position if it belonged to a large technology company.

Nadella’s conversation with Mr. Trump temporarily eased the President’s concerns about TikTok and national security.
